::: About ECM |
The value of electro-chemical machining (ECM) technology is influencing
OEM’s to choose ECM in lieu of traditional processes for
a wide variety of applications including:

|
Blades and Vanes |

|
Blisk and IBR’s |
 |
Cases and Structures |
 |
Helicopter shafts and hubs |
 |
Internal tube geometry |
|
ECM allows fast, stress- and
burr-free machining of contoured shapes in a single pass. The
process works equally well on all metals–regardless of
the hardness–including new Titanium aluminides, Titanium-17,
Titanium-6-2-4-2, Titanium-6-4, IN100, Rene 88, Rene 95 and
Inconel-718. What's more, ECM does not produce a heat-affected
zone, a recast
layer or a change in the microstructure of the base material.
