GKN Aerospace Engine Products combines historical expertise with leaders in the manufacturing industry, as it was formed through the merger of three outstanding organizations: Mal Tool, Lehr Precision and Ontario Forge.

Mal Tool, located in Manchester, CT was founded in 1953. Mal Tool was acquired by Teleflex and became Sermatech – Mal Tool in 1993. Mal Tool was one of the first manufacturers capable of complete lifecycle support. They have facilities located in the US as well as England, France and Mexico.

Lehr Precision, located in Cincinnati, OH was founded in 1967. Lehr Precision was acquired by Teleflex and became Sermatech Lehr in 1996. They are known for their expertise in electro chemical machining (ECM). In 1998, they built a state-of-the-art Blisk/IBR facility. They currently have three plants located in Cincinnati, OH. The grouping of Mal Tool facilities and Lehr Precision became known as Sermatech Manufacturing Group.

Ontario Forge, located in Muncie, IN was founded in 1895. In 1989, the forging shop was sold to private investors who renamed the company Aeroforge. In 1998, Aeroforge was acquired by Teleflex and became Sermatech Aeroforge. They provide forgings to aerospace, power generation, automotive, industrial, medical and the recreational communities.
