GKN Aerospace Engine Products is building on diversification. Our key strategy focuses on markets that can use our existing core competency of complex metal shaping to provide solutions. The gas and oil Industry is just that market. GKN Aerospace Engine Products designed and built a unique ECM machine to allow us to serve this market.

We are currently machining internal surfaces in tubular products. One example is a progressive cavity tubular pump/hydraulic motor that has a helical shape machined the length of a 4-inch to 11-inch diameter up to 240 inches long. Another example is the internal surfaces of heat exchanger tubes used in the oil and chemical industries. Both of these products need precise geometry not achievable with casting or any other hot mechanical forming method.
